What we use and why

Technology radars

Great product teams know that technology evolves faster than any roadmap. That’s why we’ve created a set of clear, living Tech Radars that show exactly which tools, frameworks, platforms, and practices we use — and why.

Backend & platforms

  • RETIRE Spring WebFlux: The reactive experiment is over. JDK Virtual Threads provide mind-blowing scalability without the “brain-infecting” complexity of reactive streams. It’s time to ADOPT simplicity.
  • RETIRE Supabase: Why are you building your core infrastructure on a “platform” you’ll just have to migrate off of? Ditch the crutch. ADOPT Managed PostgreSQL- it has all you ever needed.

Frontend & webs

Libraries, frameworks, and tools for building modern, high-performance user interfaces.

  • ADOPT: Technologies we trust for building robust, scalable front-end experiences today and tomorrow.
  • TRIAL: Tools we deliberately try out in real projects to validate their practical value.
  • ASSESS: New front-end ideas we explore with prototypes and experiments before real use.
  • RETIRE: Front-end tech we phase out because better alternatives now exist.

AI & data

  • ADOPT AI augmented company: Coding with AI is part of the thing, but at ableneo we are using AI to make our entire Software Development & Project Lifecycle more efficient, starting off with the optimization of our business analysis & business consulting processes
  • ADOPT Elastic for Document Knowledge Bases: Elastic does it all, we often use it as a vector database for our client’s knowledge bases, historical conversation storage for more complex analysis of human vs AI conversation analysis, as well as a storage for application logs.
  • ADOPT Claude Code: Chasing the goal of achieving faster and more efficient software engineering, Anthropic’s AI coding toolkit shows major promise in handling complex programming tasks.
  • ADOPT Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: Oracle Cloud is utilized by NATO and shows no compromise when it comes to security. For this reason, we have built partnership and internal competence working with the Cloud
  • RETIRE GPT-4o: Once a powerhouse and arguably the first really usable LLM model on prod-level is already replaced by better and more efficient version, GPT-4.1.

UX & product design

Proven tools, processes, and methods that drive research, design, prototyping, and testing.

  • ADOPT: Design tools and practices we fully embrace because they work well for teams and users.
  • TRIAL: New design tools or patterns we experiment with to test added value.
  • ASSESS: Unproven design ideas we study or test in pilots to see if they stick.
  • RETIRE: Old design tools or approaches we step away from in new work.
